Menopause Night Sweats -
Eliminating the Sweat Factor
Menopause night sweats are simply not
pleasant. These occur when your hot flashes come at
night. Apart from being extremely uncomfortable, they
wake you up and disturb your sleeping pattern. You may
even have to change the bedding if everything ends up damp,
which it often does.
Menopause Night Sweats and the
Food Factor
There are plenty of things you can do to
eliminate these uncomfortable menopause night sweats. First of
all be sure to look at your diet. Start off by cutting your
sugar intake and Junk foods. Eat plenty of foods that
contain phytoestrogens such as soy, tofu, and tempeh – these
foods act as the natural hormone estrogen in the body, so will
be a big help.
Along with the increased intake of soy
products, eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and other foods
such as Aduki beans, kidney beans, Soya beans, oats, olives and
seeds. This will help your body in having the resources
necessary to cope with all the hormonal changes it is going
through.
Just imagine if you eat sugary snacks,
processed and other junk food stuff. Your body is then having
to cope with processing unnatural products so it doesn't have
the resources to cope with all the natural stuff going on
inside your body, hence you start to experience the more severe
menopause symptoms.
On the other hand, you look after your body,
putting natural foods and those that have a natural estrogen in
your body, along with added menopause
supplement, if you need extra help. Suddenly, your body has
all the nutrients, enzymes, and vitamins it needs to just get
the job done - and a lot more smoothly. Believe me when I say
that those women who are proactive in their own health doing
these things, really benefit and have a more problem free
menopause.
Menopause Night Sweats and the Exercise
Factor
Exercise always leads to improvement. No need
to go mad, even a 30 minute daily walk will benefit you
enormously. I can actually vouch for that. My current job is 20
minutes from my home, I thought I would walk as parking is
a nightmare because I work at the local hospital. I had been
suffering from waking up at ridiculous times for months.
Always falling asleep straightaway (from exhaustion I’m sure),
but waking up at 2 or 3 am.
When I started to walk to work, honestly in a
couple of weeks I was sleeping through the night. Eventually, I
was wondering why as I had not done anything different. It
suddenly came to me the only different thing that I was
actually doing was walking daily. So help yourself and
incorporate at least a walk into your schedule.
Menopause night sweats can be an absolute
nightmare, so please don't just read this and do nothing. You
don't have to suffer. Even incorporating at least a couple of
the ideas will help you in sailing through your menopause.
